Regular Working Hours (during Fall/Spring academic sessions):
Monday thru Friday: 8:00 am - 10:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Summer Working Hours (during the Summer academic sessions):
Monday thru Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

The Support Desk is a front line to the assistance of students, faculty and staff, in the following areas:

SERVICES

 
  • Assist people in using accounts (e-mail, dial-up, and Unix accounts)
  •  
  • Provide instructions for connecting your computer to IIT and the Internet
  •  
  • Receiving questions and complaints regarding computer accounts, e-mail accounts, and network connection
  •  
  • Direct request for computer setups and software installation from IIT departments and Faculty
  •  
  • All calls and incidents will be answered within 24 hours
  •  
  • We support the following operating systems: Windows 98SE, 2000, XP, Mac OS X

  • Support Desk does not:
     
  • Create accounts for or provide assistance for other departments' computers and servers
  •  
  • Change usernames that are not consistent with OTS Policy
  •  
  • Help write HTML, CGIs, Java, or other WWW content
  •  
  • Provide on-site support for faculty and staff PC's
  •
