Sometimes you might forget the password for one of your IIT accounts. Most accounts have separate passwords; this means you need to specify which account you want reset (ie. dial-up, email, lab computer account, etc.). The OTS Support Desk can assist you in resetting your password. Please note that Support Desk staff members do not have access to old passwords - they can only reset them. In order to reset your password, the Support Desk requires ID verification. There are several ways to verify your ID:
1) Visit the OTS Support Desk in Stuart Building Room 112H and present your photo ID.
2) If you are staff or faculty, we can confirm your ID through Caller ID. Simply call us (7-3375 on campus) from your office phone.
3) You may contact us by phone at 312-567-3375 (x73375 on campus) and be prepared to provide your birth-date and/or mailing address.
4.) You may submit a request on-line at support.iit.edu, and include your birth-date in the contents.
5.) If you are trying to reset your lab computer account password, and you are currently in an OTS lab, speak with the lab TA. The lab TA can call the Support Desk and remotely verify your ID.
