Am I keeping a copy of my sent mail?

The default setting in the IIT e-mail accounts is that you automatically save a copy of all of the mail that you send in your 'Sent' folder. These messages count against the amount of space you are allowed on the email server. In order to change this you need to click on the 'Options' heading at the top of the page:


which will bring you to this page:


Then you need to click on the 'Settings' heading at the left:

which will take you to the following page. In order to make sure that you don't save a copy of e-mails that you send, you must un-check the checkbox that says "When sending a message place a copy in __________":


Then click 'Save Changes' on the bottom and from that second on, when you send messages there will be no records of it kept.
